Character of the Day: PARVATI

(Parvati and Ganesha)

PARVATI is one of the great manifestations of the goddess Devi; together with Lakshmi and Saraswati, she is part of the Tridevi. Her consort is Shiva, and she is the mother of Ganesha and of Kartikeya. She is known by many names, including Uma and Gauri. She can also manifest in fierce forms such as Durga.
