LAKSHMANA is the son of King Dasharatha and Queen Sumitra, and he accompanies his brother Rama faithfully into exile and into battle against Ravana. His wife is Urmila. Some regard Lakshmana as an earthly incarnation of the cosmic naga, Shesha, on whom Vishnu rests.
