Ganesha is famous for being the scribe who wrote down the Mahabharata as dictated by Vyasa, and of course as an elephant-headed god he is easy to recognize. You can use your class project to find out more about Ganesha, who remains a figure of celebration and devotion throughout India today. You could tell stories about Ganesha in your project and/or Ganesha could be the storyteller, giving his own perspective on the epic tales.
Research Tip: Start with the Wikipedia article about Ganesha, and you will also want to learn something about his parents Parvati and Shiva, as well as his brother Kartikeya.
