Project Idea: Festivals and Holidays

There is an incredible variety of religious festivals and holidays, many of which are connected to the stories told by the epics. For this project, you could zoom in on a specific holiday (see the Karva Chauth example below), or choose you could work with several different holidays.

Research Tip: Start with the Wikipedia article about Hindu festivals, and then follow the links to individual articles, such as Holi, Rama Navami, Hanuman Jayanti, Krishna Janmaashtami, Ganesh Chaturthi, Navaratri, Vijayadashami, and many more.
