VISHNU is one of the main gods of India. He is part of the Trimurti triad of gods, together with Brahma and Shiva. Vishnu is the hero of many stories, and he is also famous for his avatars, when he takes on an earthly form to save the world. Vishnu has many avatars; the ten most famous are called the Dashavatara. His cosmic manifestation is called the "All-Form," or Vishvarupa.
