ABHIMANYU is the son of the Pandava hero Arjuna; his mother is Subhadra, Krishna's sister. He dies in combat during the War, trapped inside the Chakravyuha battle formation. Abhimanyu's son, Parikshit, carries on the Pandava lineage.
