Project Idea: Devi, The Goddess

The Goddess does not have a strong presence in the epics, but there are lots of online resources you can use to explore and learn about Devi and her many manifestations. For a class project, you could zoom in one goddess in particular, or you can find a way to combine different goddess stories.

Research Tip: Start with the Wikipedia article about Devi, and also the articles about her manifestations, including Parvati, Kali, Durga, Lakshmi, Saraswati, Shakti, and the Matrikas. You will find these goddess comic books on Reserve in Bizzell: Saraswati, Durga, and Vaishno Devi.
