Character of the Day: VISHVAMITRA


VISHVAMITRA is an Indian wise man, or rishi, who plays an important role in the Ramayana, training young Rama in battle. Vishvamitra was born a royal warrior in the kshatriya caste, but later became a brahmin, and finally achieved the status of a brahmarshi.
